Requirements for the issuance of Tourist Visa for visitors and visitors married to a Nigerian citizen

1. Duly completed application form

2. 2 passports size photographs

3. Letter of invitation from the host/friend (stating that the host accepts full immigration responsibility while the applicant is in Nigeria )

4. Photocopy of host/friend valid passport & resident permit in Nigeria

5. Photocopy of resident or work permit in Switzerland

6. Original passport valid not less than six months

7. Photocopy of current bank statement (of not more two weeks old and not less than CHF 2,500)

8. Photocopy of flight confirmation/ticket

9. Photocopy of yellow fever vaccination

10 ALL VISA FEES SHOULD BE PAID ONLINE ONLY. CASH PAYMENT IS NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE IN THE EMBASSY.

11. All  administrative/processing fees has been abolished by the Federal government of Nigeria.

12. Photocopy of the last visa

13. Applicants are required to call the Embassy to book appointment, at least one week ahead of scheduled interview date.

NOTE: Every 1st time visa applicant is required to attend an interview before visa can be issued. Interviews are held every Mondays and Wednesdays. Applicants are expected to be at the Embassy at 9:15 a.m. for submission and vetting of visa applications before the commencement of interview at 10:00 a.m.

4. Photocopy of husband’s/wife’s valid passport and resident permit

5. Photocopy of marriage certificate

6. Photocopy of current bank statement.

7. Original passport with not less than 6 months validity.

8. Photocopy of flight confirmation/ticket

9. Photocopy of yellow fever vaccination

10. ALL VISA FEES SHOULD BE PAID ONLINE. CASH PAYMENT IS NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE TO THE EMBASSY.

                                                                                          CIRCULAR

 

          I am directed to inform the Staff and General Public that the Swiss authority has declared

Tuesday 24th and Tuesday 31st December 2019 as have days in preparation for Christmas and New Year.

Therefore, the Embassy will be closed at 12noon on these days. Also Wednesday, 25th and

Thursday 26th December, 2019 and Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd January 2020 has been

declared Public Holidays by the Federal Government of Nigeria in observance of the Christmas, Boxing day

and New Year celebration.

          The Embassy will remain closed on these days and resume normal duties on

Friday, 27th December, 2019 and Friday 3rd January 2020 respectively.

The Federal Government has declared Monday as Public Holiday to mark the 2019 Eid-ul-Mawlud in commemoration of the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad. Mr Mohammed Manga, Director Press and Public Relations of the Ministry of Interior, announced this in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.
